‘Pride in Place: Uplifting LGBTQ+ Voices in Our Region’ ‌ ‌

‌Join Wyckoff Center and Institutional Diversity in recognizing Pride Month with a powerful conversation featuring leaders from four regional LGBTQ+ organizations from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, in Wyckoff Center. A reception will follow.

‌T Mostly Modern Festival, an international music festival celebrating classical music in all its diversity, returns to Zankel Music Center for its sixth season. Announcements

Jonsson Tower summer construction 

‌Use caution around a large crane in Jonsson Tower parking lot on Tuesday, June 17. Work has begun replacing the north exterior stairs leading from the Tower parking lot with an accessible ramp and will continue through mid-August; use the south stairs. Basement stairs will be temporarily closed for replacement, and access to parking will be from the west-side exterior staircase. More detailed updates will be available on the Facilities web page.

‌2025 Storytellers’ Institute Fellows’ pop-up exhibition 

‌T opening of the 2025 Storytellers' Institute Fellows' pop-up exhibition at the Schick Gallery will take place at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, June 21. This show will be open through the weekend and feature in-progress nonfiction works created in a multitude of mediums including film, audio, sculpture, and immersive installation. 

Upcoming athletics facilities closures 

‌T Williamson Sports Center and McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center will be closed on Thursday, June 19, and Friday, July 4. 

‌Tennis courts hours and construction 

‌T outdoor tennis courts at McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center will be closed for the summer due to construction. The indoor courts will be open from 7 to 9 a.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday; and from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, throughout the summer. can be made on the

‌Free employee fitness classes ‌

‌T Live More, Skidmore worksite wellness program is offering free fitness classes to employees during the month of June. ‌Classes include yoga, water aerobics, pilates, kettlebell mastery, spin, and cardio sculpt. Registration for June 16-20 will open on at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 13. 

‌New Spa ReuseMore program ‌

‌T Spa is rolling out a new to-go program in partnership with the Office of Sustainability. Download the Reuzzi phone app on or devices and sign up with your Skidmore email. To use, scan to “check out” the container and again when it is returned to the bins. The app is free and includes built-in rewards. Contact John Winnek or Stacey Tourtelot with questions.

‌Skidmore Community Garden work parties 

‌Want to assist in growing veggies, fruits, and flowers for your community? The Skidmore Community Garden is now hosting weekly work parties from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. All are welcome — no prior gardening experience needed. Contact Ezri Rubenstein-Miller for more information. ‌

‌‘Navigating the Now’ - faculty and staff community space 

‌Employees are invited to come together to process current events, share reflections, and build connections during a weekly community gathering, every Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in McCaffery-Wagman Health and Wellness Center’s community room, on the second floor.
